Beth continued to study classical music to a high standard, pursuing cello at Bath Spa University College with Ruth Zagni resulting in a BA in Music and Dance. During this time she was active in many groups such as the university orchestra, choir, Gamelan ensemble, Early Music Group and Viol Ensemble with great tutors including Roger Heaton and Matthew Spring.

She worked with students on the Commercial Music course under tuition of Roger Bolton and Joe Bennett and also the Creative Music Technology Department. This not only helped to connect the otherwise separate Music and Dance courses but also led Beth to play with bands and commercial setups.

After her Degree, Beth started to play regularly on the traditional folk scene in Bath as well as with the Bath Symphony Orchestra and various band and singer/songwriter projects. She would appear at open mic nights and small gigs around the UK. This always led to another gig or recording session until she started to be asked to play with the likes of Bellowhead, Newton Faulkner and currently, Eliza Carthy. She also plays in two string quartets, The Stringbeans and Bath Spa String quartet, that can be seen busking on the streets of Bath and are often booked for recording sessions, recitals and functions.
